A Surprise Proposal Photographed at Versailles

It’s hard to beat the breathtaking grandeur of the Palace of Versailles and I love capturing a surprise proposal at Versailles. As a photographer, I’ve captured countless special occasions, but nothing compares to the raw emotion and fairytale setting of this surprise proposal at Versailles.

Arriving to the palace gardens at opening time, before their tour of the palace was to start, Greg got down on one knee, surrounded by the iconic architecture and lush greenery of Versailles, and popped the question. The look of pure astonishment and joy on Aimee’s face was simply priceless. It was a moment of pure surprise and happiness that I was honored to witness and document.

You can see her reaction once he’s explained to her that the entire morning was a setup and I wasn’t some influencer whose background they were crashing as I appeared to be making a video. Once she was able to collect herself from the rush of adrenaline and emotion, we had a little bit of time left for their first engagement portraits!
