Every now and then, my husband will turn to me and say “Look up,” as a reminder to really stop and take in our surroundings. Sometimes we get so focused on what’s right in front of us that we don’t see the beauty of what’s just out of our line of sight. One of my favorite things to do, and something I recommend to all visitors, is to stop what you’re doing every now and then and just Look Up.
KimAnother thing we apparently have in common! On our first trip to Paris, my husband and I called it our “Perpetual Motion/Look Up Tour”. On our video tape, each of us could be heard saying “Honey, look up!” at least every frame! You can tell the locals, they are the ones who never look up, and I found that so sad. I sat at a cafe watching people walk by some of the most beautiful sites in all the world – never taking even the briefest of moments to look up in appreciation of the beauty surorunding them.
