How does this relate to Photo Shoots during the Paris 2024 Olympics?
We expect some of the main landmark locations to not be available during, and leading up to the games. (Trocadero, Pont Bir Hakeim, Pont Alexandre, areas of the Seine) We live near Trocadero, so we will be keeping a close eye on the Eiffel Tower location. Please let us know if trying to get an Eiffel Tower location is of great importance to you and, if we can make it happen, we will. Rest assured though that there are many beautiful locations in Paris that will still capture the charm and elegance of your Parisian vacation. (Including the Louvre, Tuileries, Palais Royal, Place Dauphine, Ile de la Cité, Montmartre, Cafés, personal hotels, etc.)
We anticipate possibly being affected as early as June 28 and through September 22 after the paralympics have come to a close and event spaces have been dismantled. As this is our first Olympics, we aren’t fully aware of what to expect. However, our photojournalism backgrounds have us prepared to stay informed and pivot at any given moment. We will have contingency plans in place. It will be important to share your location choices with our office manager, as well as your preferred back up locations. Or, you can of course rely on our expertise to guide you.

Our Main Paris Olympics 2024 Photo Shoot Tips
1. Be Prepared to Pivot:
- Just like on a wedding day, unforeseen circumstances may arise during our portrait sessions. Embrace the spirit of adaptability, and rest assured, we’re well-prepared to navigate any challenges.
2. Trust Your Photographer:
- We commit to staying informed with the most current information. Trust our expertise and decades of experience; we are adept at managing logistical moments and ensuring a smooth session. Please ensure we are able to communicate with you through whatsapp leading up to and, the day of your session.
3. Optimize Early Morning Bookings:
- Early morning sessions will be crucial this summer. Take advantage of the serene moments before the city awakens, and we’ll capture the magic of Paris in its tranquil beauty. Couples/Individuals can start as early as 6:00AM, we recommend no later than 6:30AM. For families, we suggest starting no later than 7AM, but you can start earlier if your family is used to early mornings (Even in the past, starting times for our summer sessions for families has been bw 7AM and 7:30AM – so just a small shift, but one we think will be very beneficial.)
4. Explore Beyond the Eiffel Tower:
- Paris is a treasure trove of beauty beyond its iconic landmarks. This year, let’s explore those hidden gems together. The entire city is our canvas!
5. Buffer Room for Sessions:
- We’ll build in ample buffer time for our sessions, allowing us to navigate any unexpected occurrences without compromising the quality of your experience. CheyAnne will only be taking longer format sessions and likely only 1 per day. Kevin and Doug may have a couple sessions per day.
6. Devotion to Clients:
- Our dedication to you is unwavering. Trust that we are committed to delivering beautiful Paris memories that you’ll cherish for a lifetime.
7. Stay Informed on News and Closures:
- We’ll stay abreast of current news and information, especially regarding any closures or changes that may impact our plans.
8. Embrace a Flexible Schedule:
- A flexible schedule will be crucial. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in adapting to any last-minute adjustments that may arise.
9. Thoughtful Transportation Planning:
- Plan your transportation thoughtfully to ensure a smooth and timely experience. Let’s work together to make every moment count.
10. Backup Location Preferences:
- Know your backup location preferences, share them with us – or rely on our expertise, and be open to adjustments if needed. Our goal is to capture the essence of Paris in the most picturesque settings.
Other Useful Information
Transportation: Given that you’ll be arriving in the early morning hours for your portrait sessions, we hope to be largely unaffected by transportation issues because you should be finished before the games start. Hopefully, Uber and Taxis should be readily available. We still have the option to book our chauffeurs as well if you’d like. The number of sessions we can accept will be limited this summer, so book soon!
Here is a link to one of the main Olympic sites currently. Half-way down the page there is a venue estimator to estimate the time in between venues. They also have a note that there will be an Olympics transport app that will be available sometime this Spring that will be best to use if you are involved with the games, as it will operate in real time and may have more valuable information than the current apps such as google and city mapper.
“Paris 2024 has made strong sustainable transport commitments to minimize the environmental impact of the Games. To this end, all the venues will be accessible by public transport, and an adapted transport plan will be put in place during the Games.
For the most accurate information, please refer to this page rather than existing route planner apps for the time being (as the results do not reflect the transport plan that will be in place during the Olympic and Paralympic Games). A special Games route planner app will be released to help you get to and from competition venues effortlessly.
Information on competition venue-specific transport options for people with reduced mobility will be provided at a later date.”
We’re excited to embark on this Parisian journey with you, and together, we’ll certainly create timeless memories! If you have any questions or concerns, feel free to reach out. Let’s make this summer a celebration of love, beauty, and unforgettable moments.
