Capturing a surprise proposal is always an exhilarating experience, but when it involves the breathtaking backdrop of the Palace of Versailles, it becomes truly unforgettable. This particular proposal was a whirlwind of emotions, filled with unexpected twists and turns that resulted in a moment of pure magic.

The original plan was to capture the proposal at one of Versailles’ iconic groves, but as fate would have it, those spots were unexpectedly closed. With just minutes to spare before the big moment, we had to quickly pivot and find a new location. The pressure was on, but the beauty of Versailles provided the perfect canvas for a spontaneous and truly romantic proposal.

As the couple was quickly making progress towards me, I was standing between the two entry points for our Plan A courtyard and the Plan B courtyard. I started to walk away from that area and as I came across a fountain, I turned to my right and there was a perfect lined with towering trees, creating an intimate and enchanting atmosphere, and just enough of the Palace in the background to give us a sense of this majestic location.

With the couple in position, I discreetly captured the moment as he got down on one knee. The look of pure astonishment and joy on her face was simply priceless. Surrounded by the grandeur of Versailles, their love story unfolded in the most magical way.
